The School of Rock presented its second Golden performance at the Golden Civic Centre on June 20. Musical Director, Molly Roth and founder of Molly Roth Music, presented “Echoes of Rock” featuring “Noise Pollution.” “Echoes of Rock” came together at the Golden Youth Centre over the course of the winter months to learn new music, collaborate, and build repertoire for the presentation last week.
“They have worked so hard,” Roth says.
Molly Henderson, lead vocalist for “Noise Pollution” says her experience with School of Rock has been life-changing.
“It was really fun and sort of changed my life a little bit!” she says.
Both bands are now working together to perform at various venues throughout Golden throughout the year. “Noise Pollution” launched after its “School of Rock” showcase in 2023. The band has performed at venues such as Summer Kicks, the Rockwater and the Golden Civic Centre. “Echoes of Rock” will perform at Summer Kicks this summer.
The Golden Youth Centre and Golden Community Resources Society would like to thank Off the Wall, and the Turning Point Restaurant for donating shirts and pizza for this year’s performance.
