Golden & District Community Foundation: Vital Pulse Survey Results

Golden & District Community Foundation: Vital Pulse Survey Results

It’s been a meaningful few months at the Golden & District Community Foundation.

From gathering Vital Pulse survey results, to supporting grassroots ideas, to witnessing moments of true community spirit, like Jim and Maryann Dunnum stepping up to support future nurses, we’re being reminded again and again of the power of local action.

Below are some highlights from our last quarter: The Vital Pulse Results: Your Voice, Your Impact. This year’s top three community priorities are: * No Poverty & Zero Hunger (tied for 1st) * Good Health and Wellbeing (2nd) * Sustainable Cities and Communities (3rd).

These results help guide our Community Grants Program by informing a matrix we use to evaluate project eligibility, ensuring funding flows where it’s needed most. Thanks to an 18.62% increase in survey participation, we now have an even clearer picture of what matters most to the people of Golden and Area A.

Special thanks to Mountain Life Financial, Save-On-Foods, and IGA for contributing prizes. And congratulations to Alaina and Jocelyn, each receiving $500 in grocery gift cards as part of our 2025 survey draw!

New Fund – Donate now!

Calling all lovers of Field, B.C.! The Field Recreation Advisory Association has opened a fund with us to support vital repairs to St. Joseph’s Church, a historic gem built in 1908.

Once restored, this beautiful space will serve as a wedding venue and community gathering place, contributing to the revitalization of Field’s historic charm. Donations are eligible for charitable tax receipts and directly support this community-led restoration.
