Volunteer Golden Resilience Fund

In collaboration with local organizations, the Golden and District Community Foundation has established the Golden Resilience Fund, a flow-through fund to bolster our communityโ€™s volunteer efforts in response to the Dogtooth Wildfire. Your monetary donations will be directed to address urgent social infrastructure needs and gaps. Donations will respond to immediate needs and support long-term recovery.

To offer your support, please donate directly e-transfer to admin@goldencom- munityfoundation.ca or through Canada Helps (https://www. canadahelps.org/en/charities/golden-and-district-community-foundation/)

Charitable tax receipts will be issued at the time of your donation. GDCF is not taking an administrative fee for donations to this fund.

Take a look back at these archival pages from the Golden Star and Golden News about the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge.

Built in 2001 by volunteer timber framers and locals, this iconic bridge is Canadaโ€™s longest freestanding timber-frame structure and a true symbol of community connection.

Now, 25 years later, itโ€™s time to celebrate!

Join us at Spirit Square tomorrow evening (Saturday, Sept 26) to celebrate the 25th anniversary. See you there, Golden!
