Nominations are open for the Chamber of Commerce Business and Community Awards.

The Kicking Horse Country Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Business & Community Excellence Awards (BCEAs)!

Each year, these awards shine a spotlight on the local businesses, organizations, and individuals whose hard work, innovation, and dedication make Golden and Area A such a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

This year’s awards feature 12 categories that reflect the diversity of our community.

Business of the Year: Honouring a business that demonstrates outstanding innovation, sustainable development, exceptional client relations, and a strong commitment to community support.

New Business of the Year: Recognizing a local business that began operations after January 2024 and has made a positive impact on the community.

Tourism Award: Celebrating a business in the tourism sector—accommodations, activity operators, events, restaurants, and more—that delivers exceptional visitor experiences, introduces innovative products or services, and upholds sustainable and equitable practices.

Community Organization Award: Presented to a non-profit or charity that has made exceptional contributions to the community, demonstrating integrity, excellence, and strong leadership.

Industry & Trade Excellence: Awarded to a business that stands out for innovation in projects or processes in their industry, professionalism in service delivery, and meaningful impact on the community.

Young Entrepreneur Award: Highlighting a young entrepreneur (under 35 years old) whose work showcases creativity, innovation, and a strong positive influence on the community.

Food & Beverage Excellence: Recognizing a food and beverage business—brick-and-mortar or not—that consistently delivers quality, excellent customer service, and originality in its offerings.

Community Legacy Award: Honouring a business that has operated in the community for 20 years or more, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a lasting commitment to Golden through both innovation and community involvement.

Farm to Fork: Celebrating a business that produces locally sourced consumable goods—livestock, preserves, fruits, vegetables, grains, beverages, and more—strengthening our local food system.

Retail Excellence: Awarded to a retail business, with or without a storefront, that excels in quality, customer service, and innovative practices.

Customer Service Excellence: Recognizing a business or organization that consistently goes above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service.

NEW for 2025: Employee of the Year – recognizing an outstanding employee whose customer service skills and community support make them the go-to person in their workplace.

In addition, the Peter Bowle-Evans Volunteer Award will once again honour an exceptional community volunteer. Named in memory of Peter Bowle-Evans, whose passion helped shape Mt. Seven into the destination it is today, this award celebrates individuals whose volunteer work creates a lasting economic and social impact in Golden and Area A.

The nomination process is quick and easy:

Nominations are open to everyone in the community. Whether it’s a business with outstanding customer service, an innovative new process, or an individual who goes above and beyond, this is your chance to help celebrate their impact.
