The first signs of spring are always exciting: the melting river, budding trees, and new events that mark the season’s arrival. This May, the Golden Food Bank is hosting its “Rhythm and Blooms” Spring Gala to celebrate the season while raising funds for a meaningful cause.
The evening will feature food, drinks, and live entertainment—promising a truly blooming good time. With your ticket, you’ll enjoy a signature cocktail from Salty Dog, slow-smoked brisket by Smokehouse 93, a charcuterie cart, fresh salads, roasted vegetables, gravy, cornbread, and dessert by Il Piatto Catering. A licensed bar will also be available, along with beers from Whitetooth Brewery.
Entertainment for the night includes live music from Curtis Butala and Whiskey Jack, followed by a post-dinner dance with DJ Sam Schofield.
All proceeds from the event will support the Golden Food Bank, helping make food accessible to community members in need.
The gala takes place on Friday, May 8, from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Golden Civic Centre. To purchase tickets, visit the Eventbrite app, the Golden Food Bank Facebook page or Goldenfoodbank.ca. You can also find tickets by scanning the QR code in the picture.
If you’re looking for a fun way to welcome spring, put on your seasonal best and head to the Civic Centre on May 8. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy an evening out while giving back to your community.
