Golden Pride 2025: The Golden Pride Society is pleased to announce the return of Golden Pride 2025, taking place on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Spirit Square. This year’s celebration, themed “Community in Colour,” invites residents and visitors to gather in a joyful, inclusive, and family-friendly space that highlights diversity and belonging in the Columbia Valley.

The event is free and open to all ages, offering a dynamic mix of entertainment, education, and community connection.

Event Highlights Include:

• Opening flag-raising ceremony and welcome remarks

• Live drag performance and a 15-minute drag makeover station

• Musical performance by Finni Jobin, Golden’s own celebrated singer-songwriter

• Rotary Club community BBQ, local vendors, and face painting

• Connected Communities area, featuring informational booths from local organizations

• Protective Services presence in a welcoming, educational role

Connected Communities Initiative

The Connected Communities area brings together organizations from across Golden and the surrounding region, offering information and resources in health, social support, education, and community development.

It is designed to foster stronger relationships between local groups and the people they serve.

Supporting the Golden Pride Park

Golden Pride 2025 also marks the launch of a fundraising campaign for the future Golden Pride Park, a planned pocket park that will celebrate inclusion through public art, storytelling, and gathering space.

Proceeds from select vendors and on-site donations will support the development of this meaningful new public space.

Acknowledgement of Support

This event is made possible through the generous support of Columbia Basin Trust and the Neighbourhood Small Grants program.

The Golden Pride Society is grateful for its investment in fostering community connection, diversity, and well-being.

Now, 25 years later, it’s time to celebrate!

Join us at Spirit Square tomorrow evening (Saturday, Sept 26) to celebrate the 25th anniversary. See you there, Golden!
