December kicks off the RCMP’s Winter Impaired Driving Enforcement campaign. Golden-Field RCMP will be out in force all month targeting impaired drivers. On December 6, 2025, your Golden-Field RCMP officers will be leading the charge in our community to “Light Up the Province” in the annual campaign. Road users can expect officers to be out conducting roadblocks throughout our community as part of this national campaign.
“Golden-Field RCMP always take impaired driving seriously and have a zero tolerance for it year-round,” says Sgt. Mitch Mercier, Golden-Field Detachment Commander. “But this campaign is an important reminder to the public that we are out there and looking for impaired drivers. So, we ask that you plan a safe ride home if you are going to partake over the holiday season.”
Golden-Field RCMP invites you to have conversations with people you know who might otherwise drive impaired, and your children, about making good choices. We want everyone to be safe on our roads this winter!
