Local artist Karen Brodie Archibald is inviting the community into her creative space next week for a special Open Studio event.

On Tuesday, September 23, from 2 to 7 p.m., Brodie Archibald will welcome visitors to her studio at 1502 Fir Crescent, Golden, offering a first look at selections from her ongoing Stations of the Cross exhibition

The afternoon will give guests a chance not only to view the artworks but also to participate in shaping the project. Attendees will be able to vote for their favourite pieces and even cut a piece of fabric to contribute to the works still in progress.

A door prize and raffle tickets will be available on-site, while a silent auction will run online featuring an original piece by Brodie Archibald.

“Community connection is at the heart of this project,” she said.

“Inviting people into the process makes the work more meaningful, and I’m excited to share that experience with Golden.”

Donations are welcome at the event, with all proceeds going toward further supporting the Stations of the Cross project.

Event details:

• What: Open Studio with Karen Brodie Archibald

• When: Tuesday, September 23, 2–7 p.m.

• Where: 1502 Fir Crescent, Golden, BC
