The Cookie Cup is our first club event of the season. It is a multidisciplinary event that we’ve created to be the first race experience that many of our athletes have.
We had a dual slalom on upper Big Ben, a super G on the flats of lower Big Ben and a ski cross. Every event encourages different ski skills which promote the development of a well-rounded skier.
We enjoyed a day filled with sportsmanship and awesome costumes! Close to 100 athletes participated. Then we ended the day with a hot chocolate bar provided by Dan Bracko and Columbia River Catering and an awards ceremony with cookie medals, made by Pauline Rousseau.
The Lake Louise Black Dogs brought a small team to participate in the event.
Then we had a family-friendly social at the Whitetooth Grill. Big thank you to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for their support.
