The Golden Rockets will proudly sport their community hockey jerseys during all home games throughout January. This year’s jersey design is a retro throwback, featuring the original team logo worn by the inaugural Golden Rockets Junior Hockey Team back in 1991.
The special-edition jerseys were unveiled at the Rockets’ home game on Saturday, January 4, and will be auctioned off until the end of the month. All proceeds from the auction will support the Golden Rockets Community Fund.
Established a decade ago, the Golden Rockets Community Fund provides assistance to residents of Golden and Area A who face medical challenges requiring out-of-town travel. The fund helps cover essential out-of-pocket expenses not covered by insurance, including fuel, accommodations, and meals, allowing recipients to focus on receiving the care they need.
Supporters interested in owning an authentic game-worn jersey can place their bids until 12pm on February 1 via the team’s online live auction website: https://virtualauction.bid/communityjerseys
