GAL Enduro – Golden’s most vibrant mountain biking celebration is back — and this time, it’s all about the GALS.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 20, when the Equinox Bike Fest: GAL Enduro rolls into town. This all-women’s enduro race, hosted by the Golden Cycling Club and Moon Cycle, is more than just a ride — it’s a full-day festival built around community, camaraderie, and having a blast on two wheels.
With just 100 spots available, the race sold out early, and it’s no surprise why. From beginner to seasoned shredder, this event is designed to welcome women of all experience levels into the world of mountain bike racing — without the pressure or pretension.
There are two race options:
• Blue Denim (3-stage): Ideal for those newer to racing or those who prefer to keep it chill on blue trails. Categories include Youth (17 & under), Ladies (18–39), Master Ladies (40+), and an open age category for E-bikes.
• Acid Wash (5-stage): A spicier version with added black trails like 5K on Mt. 7 for the more adventurous riders. Categories mirror the Blue Denim race.
And here’s the vibe: self-seeding, ride with your pals, walk your bike if you need to, be cool when passing, and wear your best outfit — yes, there’s a prize for that too.
The race is just the beginning. Your entry includes:
• Swag from the Golden Cycling Club
• A custom-decorated race plate
• A free beer at Whitetooth Brewery
• A raffle ticket
• A meal at the Rockwater Bar and Grill
• Entry to the after-party (including an awards ceremony and dance party)
The course route will be announced soon, but organizers promise the same small-town charm and stoke as years past.

The GAL Enduro is about celebrating women riders of all kinds — whether you’re tackling your first enduro or your fiftieth. It’s a race, yes, but mostly, it’s a chance to ride hard, laugh harder, and end the summer season with dirt on your shins and a smile on your face.
