Softball Season in Full Swing

Another successful season of co-ed softball is underway at Keith King Memorial Park in Golden. The league continues to be a vibrant hub for sports enthusiasts in the community.

With 12 teams comprising over 150 local players, the league boasts a diverse group of softball aficionados, ranging from 18 to 60 years old. The mix of ages and backgrounds creates a unique and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the sport and a bit of friendly competition.

Games are held at the ball diamonds at Keith King Park every Tuesday and Thursday evening, starting at 6 pm and 7:30 pm. The atmosphere is always lively (especially when the Skybridge team is playing!), with families and friends often gathering to cheer on the players.

One of the highlights of the season is the leagueโ€™s end-of-season tournament, scheduled for the weekend of June 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. The tournament will determine this yearโ€™s league champions and provide an exciting conclusion to the season.

Brad Bokenfohr, one of the leagueโ€™s volunteer organizers, shares his enthusiasm for the event, saying, โ€œThe year-end tournament is a fun way to enjoy one last weekend of ball with our local softball community.โ€

Now, 25 years later, itโ€™s time to celebrate!
