Yoho Corner Store brings new life to familiar Field location

A familiar Field business has been given a fresh start.

The former Siding has reopened as the Yoho Corner Store, following an extensive renovation and rebranding of the small community shop. While the name and appearance have changed, the store continues to fill an important role in Field, offering residents and visitors a convenient place to pick up groceries, prepared food and other essentials.

The renovated store has a noticeably brighter and more open feel, with new flooring, shelving and displays throughout. The exterior has also been refreshed, including a new hanging sign identifying the business as the Yoho Corner Store, established in 2025.

Inside, customers will find a broad selection of grocery and convenience items, including snacks, pantry staples, refrigerated products, beverages and locally or regionally produced goods. Fresh fruit, baked goods and grab-and-go options are also available.

One of the most noticeable additions is the expanded food counter and bakery display. Cakes, squares, cookies and other desserts fill the refrigerated case, while the store also serves a selection of sandwiches, bagels, breakfast items and other prepared foods.

Seating has been added inside, giving customers a place to stop for something to eat or drink rather than simply picking up their purchases and heading out the door. The result is a space that feels like a combination of neighbourhood grocery store, café and community gathering place.

That combination is particularly valuable in Field, where the choices available to residents and travellers are naturally more limited than they would be in a larger centre. A well-stocked corner store can make a significant difference, whether someone needs a forgotten ingredient, a quick breakfast before heading into the park or an easy meal after a long day outdoors.

The new store also arrives at a time when Field and Yoho National Park are welcoming visitors from around the world. Field is the only community located within Yoho National Park, and its businesses often serve both the village’s residents and travellers exploring nearby attractions.

The rebranding gives the store a stronger connection to that setting. The Yoho Corner Store name immediately identifies it with the surrounding national park and the community it serves, while the new blue-and-white signage complements the character of the building and village.

Although much has changed, the store remains in the same recognizable location and continues the tradition of having a small general store at the heart of Field.

For residents, the reopening means renewed access to everyday necessities close to home. For visitors, it offers another reason to slow down, explore the village and discover more of Field beyond the highway and the surrounding park attractions.

The Yoho Corner Store’s online presence is still being developed, with portions of its current website containing sample menu and contact information. Customers should confirm current hours and offerings directly with the business before making a special trip at https://yoho-corner-store.webflow.io/
