CSRD 2024 Annual Report

The CSRD 2024 Annual Report has recently been released.

CSRD 2024 Annual Report – In its yearbook for 2024, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District’s Annual Report reviews the work accomplished through the vast region of the CSRD, which stretches from the Alberta boundary in the east, through Golden, Revelstoke, Sicamous and Salmon Arm, including Falkland, Salmon Valley and the North and South Shuswap.

It provides a comprehensive overview of the CSRD’s services, financial data, programs and projects for our constituents, Board Directors, staff, and volunteers throughout the region. The 2024 Annual Report reflects on the impacts of the 2024 wildfire season, outlines progress on the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail and examines the day-to-day functions of the CSRD.

The report was received by the Directors at the April 17, 2025, Regular Board Meeting.

This year, there was an enhanced effort to increase financial transparency and accountability to the taxpayers by including more detailed information about how tax dollars were spent in each of the CSRD’s seven Electoral Areas in 2024.

This report is the CSRD’s chance to better inform our residents of the types of programs and services delivered on a region-wide, sub-regional and local basis. It also works to educate residents about the CSRD’s role among the different levels of government.

It also enhances transparency by outlining what progress has been made on various priority projects, including the Bush Creek East wildfire recovery, Scotch Creek Water System expansion, a new fire department at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and plans for additional composting and recycling programs.

The report is now available to the public online through the CSRD website.
