Building on the success of Golden’s first celebration of the Latino community with the first Fiesta Dorada in 2024, this year’s festival promises to bring even more excitement to the event.
This is a FREE, family-friendly event from noon to 6 pm at the Golden Riverfront Campground (GRC). This event is sponsored by Mamacita’s Empanadas and GRC as our way of giving back to the community.
There are 2 parts to the event. The day portion is completely volunteer-run!
• Noon – 6 pm (FREE)
Family friendly | dance lessons, workshops, kids activities, and a concession selling Latino-inspired food and drinks for both lunch and dinner.
• 8 pm – LATE (ticketed)
– 19 + event. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
– Food available until 9:00 pm

We are working on a possible shuttle, but it’s not guaranteed yet – the truth is that we still need this part of the event to be sponsored.
We are inviting anyone in the Latino community to contact us if they would like to host an event of their own (Latino-inspired crafts, sports, demos, language lessons, dance lessons, etc).
We are still looking for volunteers to help with the festival’s logistics: set up and tear down, door and information people, and anyone able to host kids’ events (fútbol skills competition, craft-making station, etc.).
We are hosting a market again and are still accepting vendors. We are asking the vendors to get into the mood by decorating their booths or making ‘Latino-inspired’ products. We are also looking for musicians who would like to play during the day: noon – 8 pm.
We are excited for this year’s music lineup: Diego and the Gringos are headlining, with Latino beats late into the night with Deejay Zorrow.
Diego & the Gringos are six passionate musicians from Golden, BC who bring a new style to popular South American music. Their style is fun, engaging, and guaranteed to get you dancing! They are easily recognizable for their high-energy performances and sweet neon face paint!
New information will be posted on the Instagram and Facebook sites every second day or so, leading up to the event.

Golden’s Second Annual Latino Celebration: FIESTA DORADA
Ready to have fun!? Fiesta Dorada premieres in Golden, BC on Saturday, May 3rd, from 12:00 pm to 9+ pm at the Golden Riverfront Pavilion.
- Enjoy the tastes and sounds of Latin America with artisan exhibitors and a “comida & bebida” bar with authentic food and drinks.
- Learn to dance the Tango, Cumbia and more with ‘Suenuos Tangos’ dance instructors and friends.
- Learn the art of folding an empanada, making traditional tortillas and discover what makes the best taco.
- Learn (and practice) your Spanish skills.
- Kids can join a fútbol skills competition, break a piñata, get their face painted, and more!

Comida & Bebida Bar
Ready to eat and drink? So are we! Make sure to indulge in tasty and authentic food and drinks while supporting some local vendors. Food items will be priced for sale at the event. Both kid-friendly and adult beverages will be available.
Workshops & Lessons
Between 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm, all ages are welcome. Our programming includes FREE dance demonstrations and lessons, empanada rolling workshops, and more!
From 7:00 – midnight we will have live music, food & drinks, and be practicing our dance moves with Diego & the Gringos and Deejay Zorrow.
