Meet Heather Whittaker: RE/MAX of Golden’s Newest Realtor

Heather may be new to the RE/MAX of Golden office, but she brings with her more than a decade of real estate experience and a creative edge that sets her apart.

She first discovered her passion for homes through her career in retail. For 13 years, Heather owned and operated a home décor shop, where she naturally began staging properties for clients. That hands-on experience inspired her to take the next step: earning her real estate license in 2012. Starting her career in Calgary, Heather quickly built a reputation for blending market knowledge with her background in decorating and staging, helping clients see the full potential of every space.

Golden first entered Heather’s life 12 years ago, when she and her family bought a recreational property here. Six years later, they made the move permanent, renovating a historic home and fully immersing themselves in the community. That project only deepened her appreciation for character properties and gave her first-hand insight into the challenges and rewards homeowners face.

When the opportunity arose to join RE/MAX of Golden, Heather didn’t hesitate. She was already familiar with the brand from her years in Calgary and says the Golden office has been nothing short of welcoming. “The support from the RE/MAX of Golden team has been exceptional,” she says.

Now, Heather is excited to help others find their place in Golden, whether that’s a cozy mountain cabin, a family home, or an investment property. With her combination of professional expertise and creative vision, she’s ready to guide buyers and sellers through every stage of the process with confidence.

  • Flashback Friday 📰 Fall 2001!

Take a look back at these archival pages from the Golden Star and Golden News about the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge.

Built in 2001 by volunteer timber framers and locals, this iconic bridge is Canada’s longest freestanding timber-frame structure and a true symbol of community connection.

Now, 25 years later, it’s time to celebrate!

Join us at Spirit Square tomorrow evening (Saturday, Sept 26) to celebrate the 25th anniversary. See you there, Golden!
