There may be no more iconic landmark in Golden than the Bob Wingate building. We’ve all walked or driven by it and wondered about its backstory. Frankly, “BW” is a bit of a legend—so much so that Whitetooth Brewing decided it was time to name a beer after it.

The newly launched Bob Wingate Classic Lager is a light lager at 4.0% ABV, featuring subdued bitterness and a hint of citrus on the finish. It’s brewed with a simple malt bill of Pilsner malt and Noble hops, delivering a signature herbal hop aroma.

“Crisp, refreshing, and easy drinking, the beer was designed to recognize one of Golden’s most enigmatic architectural wonders: the Bob Wingate building. We thought it was overdue for a beer to be named after it. We designed this as a true locals’ pre-game, post-shift, and active lawn-mowing beer,” said Miranda Batterink, Head Brewer.

Whitetooth has also revived their Crib Club, happening every Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. throughout May and June. Admission is free, and each time you attend, you’ll be entered into a draw to win a $100 Whitetooth gift card (tip: the more evenings you join, the better your chances!).

Now, 25 years later, it’s time to celebrate!

Join us at Spirit Square tomorrow evening (Saturday, Sept 26) to celebrate the 25th anniversary. See you there, Golden!
