Police, who identified a man discovered dead inside a home in Creston at the end of May, have confirmed the circumstances are considered suspicious.
The Southeast District Major Crime Unit (SED-MCU) reports that Robert Unger, 72, was found dead inside a residence on Elm Street in Creston on May 25, 2023. At the time of the discovery, a female was taken into custody, but has since been released without charges as the investigation continues.
The victim’s identity was confirmed after an autopsy, and his death is considered suspicious and a result of foul play, say police. A cause of death is not being released in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
Unger was first reported missing to Creston RCMP on April 27, 2023.
