The Rocky Mountain School District recently completed its 2023-24 to 2026-27 strategic plan engagement survey.
The survey was created to seek input from community members so they could be more engaged in the school district’s future.
The respondents shared that they wanted to be more engaged and have opportunities for direct communication in the policy development process.
To this end, the school district has committed to creating a new webpage which will include additional surveys for each policy under review.
The initiative is currently being promoted on the district’s website, the SchoolGuide application, and Facebook.
The four policies currently under review are policy 2900 which pertains to the naming or renaming of schools, policy 2950 which covers the freedom of information and protection of privacy, policy 4106 which deals with confidentiality and conflict of interest and policy 8600 which covers field trips.
To view the proposed policies in full, members of the community are encouraged to visit the school district’s website where they are all linked.
There, community members can provide feedback on the policies until May 26.
