Golden Museum Fall Faire Returns: September 13

The Golden Museum and Green Space will be buzzing with excitement on Saturday, September 13, 2025, as the much loved Golden Museum Fall Faire returns to celebrate the season and showcase the creativity of our community.

More vendors are signing up daily, and the grounds will be transformed into a vibrant hub of activity. But the real magic comes from you—the community!

We invite everyone to participate by entering their finest creations in the Faire’s many competitions.

Calling All Bakers and Makers!

Whether it’s a classic banana loaf or your signature Flapper Pie, we want to see it!

Categories include:

• Breads and rolls

• Loaves of all kinds: zucchini, pumpkin, fruit, cinnamon—you name it

• Cookies, bars, cakes, rolls, and pies

If it’s delicious, it belongs at the Faire. Encourage your friends to enter too— especially if you’ve complimented their baking before!

Preserving the Season

Canning is making a comeback, and we’re thrilled to see so many young people getting involved. Enter your jams, jellies, butters, and pickles. Only select items will be opened for tasting; the rest will be judged on clarity and pack. Be sure to pick up your jars between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m.

Garden Glory

With this year’s abundant rainfall, gardens are thriving. Bring your best produce and see how it stacks up against your neighbours’—and inspire others with what’s possible in our growing community.

Creative Expressions

From photography to crocheting, sewing, knitting, woodcrafting, scrapbooking, and even geocaching—there’s a place for every passion. Entries don’t need to be new, just not previously submitted to the Kicking Horse Fall Faire.

Faire Highlights

• The fabulous Farmers Market will be on-site—come ready to shop and support local artisans

• Live music all day on the main stage

• Classic competitions and exciting new ones to keep everyone entertained

• A stellar lineup of performers curated by John Jenkins

Get Involved!

We need volunteers to help make the Faire a success. If you can spare an hour on the day, please call 250-344-5169 to sign up.

Let’s make this year’s Fall Faire the best one yet. See you there!

Take a look back at these archival pages from the Golden Star and Golden News about the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge.

Built in 2001 by volunteer timber framers and locals, this iconic bridge is Canada’s longest freestanding timber-frame structure and a true symbol of community connection.

Now, 25 years later, it’s time to celebrate!
