The Golden Skybridge added another attraction to its growing list of thrilling activities.

A new 75-foot swing opened in the park at the end of May, allowing visitors to plunge through the canyon.

A town that prides itself on welcoming thrill-seekers and adventurers, the canyon swing joins a number of existing outdoor experiences in the Golden Area, including the recently opened Railrider Mountain Coaster, giving visitors even more ways to enjoy the mountains.

The Golden Skybridge opened in 2021 and is one of Canada’s highest suspension bridges, hanging more than 125 metres above Hospital Creek below.

In addition to the bridges, the Golden Skybridge site has several other attractions for thrill-seekers, including a 300-metre zipline and a ropes course.

For those less inclined to seek out every rush, there is also a viewpoint that overlooks the canyon, a waterfall lookout, picturesque hiking trails, and barbecue spaces.

Tickets for the Golden Skybridge are available at Banff Jasper Collection’s website, and visitors who purchase their tickets online will receive a 10 percent discount.

  • Flashback Friday 📰 Fall 2001!

Take a look back at these archival pages from the Golden Star and Golden News about the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge.

Built in 2001 by volunteer timber framers and locals, this iconic bridge is Canada’s longest freestanding timber-frame structure and a true symbol of community connection.

Now, 25 years later, it’s time to celebrate!

Join us at Spirit Square tomorrow evening (Saturday, Sept 26) to celebrate the 25th anniversary. See you there, Golden!
