Revelstoke RCMP recovered roughly $20,000 in stolen electronics that went missing during the LUNA Arts festival in late September.

The Mounties said the audio and visual equipment went missing during LUNA Arts in the early morning of Sept. 23, after the festival wound down for the evening. Upon further investigation, the RCMP were able to determine that the equipment was being stored at a residence in Revelstoke where they were able to execute a search warrant on Sept. 26.

The search of the property allowed the RCMP to recover the stolen goods and return them to its rightful owner.

The occupant of the residence where the items were relocated was arrested before being released on a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The individual is due to appear in Revelstoke Provincial Court in November

Revelstoke RCMP asked anyone who has information about the incident, including surveillance camera footage, to contact the Revelstoke RCMP at 250-8327-5255. Anyone who has information that they wish to share anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at crimestoppers.ca.
