The Golden Seniors’ Centre was packed to the rafters Saturday night as locals dusted off their boots for the standing room only Boot Scoot & Boogie line-dancing event. From 7:00 to 9:00 pm, the crowd filled every inch of the floor, and then some, for an evening of country music, laughter, and high-energy fun.
What started as a casual idea quickly turned into a success. First-time instructor and organizer, Megan Crandall, thanked the community for showing up “boots, smiles, two left feet and all,” adding that the energy and willingness to jump in made the night unforgettable.
Participants of all ages joined in, from seasoned dancers to total beginners, and the room was full of laughter as everyone learned a few new moves together.
The event’s popularity has already sparked plans for future sessions, with talk of offering classes at varying difficulty levels and more social nights “where we just dance and have a good time.”
