Whether you’re a first-time visitor or returning for another season, there’s always something new to experience at the Golden Skybridge.
Since opening in 2021, the attraction has continued to expand its offerings with additions like gemstone mining, the Railrider Mountain Coaster, and the Giant Canyon Swing. This summer is no exception.
New for the 2026 season is Rockies Rangers, an interactive, self-guided interpretive program designed to help visitors explore the property while learning about the surrounding landscape, wildlife, and local culture. While the activity is open to all ages, it is designed primarily for children between the ages of 2 and 16.
At the Golden Skybridge, visitors are guided by Moberly, the resident golden eagle mascot. Upon arrival, guests can choose from one of three Rockies Rangers field guides, each tailored to a different level of difficulty.
From there, it’s time to head out and explore.
As participants make their way through the property, they’ll search for clues and answers found throughout the Skybridge, complete activities in their field guide, and interact with staff members along the way. Be sure to stop and say hello to Moberly while you’re exploring!
Once the booklet is complete, Rangers-in-training can head to the gift shop to take part in a special Rockies Rangers badge ceremony before wrapping up their visit.
“It’s a really engaging activity, and we’re excited to have it at the Golden Skybridge,” said Wade Denesyk, Hospitality & Guest Experience Manager.
“One of the most surprising—and rewarding—parts of the program has been seeing how excited our staff are to participate. One of the activities encourages guests to interact with a team member, and our staff have really embraced it.”
Denesyk says the program has already been a hit with families.
“It’s been a fantastic way to help kids learn more about our local wildlife, Indigenous culture, and the Golden area. It keeps them engaged while they’re exploring the property and turns the experience into more than just a walk across the bridges.”
In addition to the Golden Skybridge, the Rockies Rangers program is available at six other Pursuit attractions throughout the Canadian Rockies, including the Banff Gondola, Lake Minnewanka Cruise, Columbia Icefield, Jasper SkyTram, Banff Open Top Touring, and the Maligne Lake Cruise.
Participation in the Rockies Rangers program is included with admission to the Golden Skybridge or with a Locals Season Pass, making it a fun new way for both visitors and locals to experience the attraction this summer.
Be sure to keep an eye out for another exciting addition to the Golden Skybridge this summer – the new Eagle Net Park is set to open this August.
