As one of Canada’s most iconic events, Calgary Stampede continues to evolve, introducing new programming and enhancing its infrastructure year after year. One of the latest additions to its lineup is Fleurs de Villes COUNTRY, a stunning floral celebration of country music icons, brought to life by talented florists, including one from right here in Golden.
Ashley Chernoff, owner of Golden Floral Co., returned to the Calgary Stampede for the second year in a row to participate in Fleurs de Villes COUNTRY. Last year, she took on the legendary Dolly Parton and earned second place in the fan favourite contest.
This year, Chernoff and her team were back, this time creating a floral tribute to Canadian country icon—and 2025 Stampede Parade Marshal and Saddledome performer — Shania Twain.
“This showstopping design is inspired by the dazzling white fringe outfit Shania wore while hosting the 2014 People’s Choice Country Awards at the Grand Ole Opry,” shared Chernoff. “It features white phalaenopsis orchids, anthurium, roses, petunias, monstera leaves, and cascading amaranthus. This floral tribute celebrates Shania’s vibrant stage presence—classic country flair with a fearless, fashion-forward edge.”
Chernoff’s bold and beautiful design captured the crowd once again, finishing third in the 2025 fan favourite vote, among more than ten entries.
