The Royal Canadian Legion, BC/Yukon Command, is inviting children and youth to take part in its annual Youth Remembrance Contest. Students can enter by creating a poster, poem, essay, or video that reflects what remembrance means to them.
The contest is open to Grades K–12, with different categories for each age group. Poster and literary entries must be submitted to the nearest Legion Branch by November 15, while videos can be uploaded online and sent by email.
Prizes are awarded at the local, provincial, and national levels. Winning works may be displayed in the House of Commons or the Canadian War Museum, and senior winners can earn a trip to Ottawa to represent Canadian youth at the National Remembrance Day Ceremony.
