The Golden Skybridge is gearing up to open for another thrilling season. On April 27 and 28, Golden, Area A, and Field residents will have priority access to pick up their locals’ season passes and enjoy the attractions and special activities throughout the weekend. The festivities will include live music, face painting, and opportunities to try the Railrider Mountain Coaster, ziplines, axe throwing, and the climbing wall, all available by donation benefiting the Golden Community Foundation.
New in 2024, the Skybridge will feature an additional food truck, a revamped arrival experience, an expanded parking lot, a gem mining area, and various new activities and interpretive experiences for guests. Last year, the Golden Skybridge welcomed over 100,000 visitors and expects continued growth in 2024. The attraction employs more than 100 staff, with a strong focus on hiring locally. This year, the Skybridge will host its famed Summer Concert Series again.
Tristan MacLaggan, General Manager of the Golden Skybridge, said, “We will announce the full Summer Concert Series lineup very soon. Menzies Music Productions has again stepped up to bring some world-class acts across Canada to Golden. We will have live music every Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from June 22 through August 31, and bands in the evening on Canada Day.
Like last year, we will host the Golden Night Market every other Saturday (July 6, 20; August 3, 17, 31), featuring a wide range of fantastic local craft vendors and food trucks.”
The locals’ season pass offers unlimited bridge access throughout the season for the price of a one-day ticket and includes many discounts and benefits within the attraction.
Additionally, Skybridge is introducing a mid-week Adventure Pass add-on for locals, available for $25 per person per day, available Monday through Thursday. The Skybridge will open to the general public on May 3.
